Taxi advertising month before major event
Taxi advertising for Farnborough Air Show
Without doubt the biggest event to hit Farnborough in 2008 is the bi-annual air show. Big hitters in the business come from all over the world to the show, and there is not a hotel room or taxi avaliable. There is also a weekend allocated to aviation enthusiasts.
With the latter in mind, the Air Show booked a taxi campaign in the month leading up to the show. The plan was to raise awareness and ultimately generate bookings. Supasides with simple but effective artwork was utilised and the town centres of Farnborough and Aldershot were dominated by taxis carrying the message. Given that the campaign coincided with the longest daylight period of the year, only added to the visibility of the campaign, and yet again taxis provided a value for money, cost effective medium.
